2020 Friends for Life Orlando Volunteer Application

Volunteers at Friends for Life conferences work with children in Kiddie Kove, elementary, tween, sibling, and teen programs. They also work in Registration, in the Exhibit Hall, Sports Central, as Room Captains and Helpers, as extra eyes and ears for the FFL Support Team, and in other positions as needed.

The commitment ranges from full time Tuesday to Friday, to just a few hours here and there. These are unpaid positions. For those volunteering full time, we cover your individual registration fee for the conference itself. This includes all of the meals which are included as part of the conference. Other expenses, such as travel and other meals, are your responsibility.

Note that if you are selected as a full time volunteer, you will attend training all day Tuesday, which means you’ll need to arrive on Monday.

Volunteers receive the following:

  • One hotel room at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for six (6) nights (arrive Monday, depart Sunday). Younger staff will share a room with another volunteer of the same gender. If you are sharing with a person who is not on staff, CWD will cover your portion of the room.
  • Conference registration

IMPORTANT: All staff who volunteer for Friends for Life Orlando are required to have a background check through Sterling Volunteers, a third-party volunteer screening organization. CWD pays for this. If you are selected as staff for 2020, we will send you information on how to proceed with the process. Failure to complete a background check will make you ineligible to be a volunteer at the conference.
