For Families of Children with Type 1 Diabetes
Use this application to apply for a Family Scholarship for Friends for Life Orlando 2025. For this application, at least one child should have type 1 diabetes. For families in which a parent has type 1 diabetes, but a child does not, please select the Family Adult Scholarship for Friends for Life Orlando 2025. Included in the Families of Children with Type 1 Diabetes Scholarships are:

This Family Scholarship can include:

• One hotel room at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (accommodating up to four people in the room) for five (5) nights (arrive Tuesday, depart Sunday), and
• Conference registration for up to four (4) people.

Estimated Costs to Attend Friends for Life Orlando 2025
     As you consider attending Friends for Life Orlando, we want you to know the estimated costs. These are general costs and will vary by family.

• Conference Registration - $300 per person includes meals (Wednesday snack breaks and evening dessert reception; Thursday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack breaks; Friday lunch and snack breaks; Sunday breakfast), all sessions, all social events, admission to the Exhibition Hall.
• Hotel - $201 per night Tuesday – Sunday. The hotel sleeps up to four people and is located within walking distance to the conference center, Disney transportation to theme parks, and Disney Springs.
• Transportation - Varies by Family. If you drive, parking is free at the conference hotel.

Before You Begin
     Before you begin your application, please gather the following items. You have the option to submit these to support your application.

• Digital copy of your 2024 Federal Tax Return (most commonly Form 1040). We encourage you to have your taxes prepared before submitting your application.
• Digital copy of your most recent W2 (one for each working parent or adult)
• Please know that we will prioritize first timers that have never attended a Friends for Life Orlando conference before.

For Families that Include an Adult with Type 1 Diabetes
Use this application to apply for an Adult Family Scholarship for Friends for Life Orlando 2025. For this scholarship, you must be an adult (26+), couple, or parent living with type 1 diabetes. For families in which a child has type 1 diabetes, but an adult does not, please select the Family Scholarship for Friends for Life Orlando 2025 For Families that Include a Child with Type 1 Diabetes.

For Young Adults Living with Type 1 Diabetes
 Use this application to apply for a Young Adult Scholarship for Friends for Life Orlando 2024. This scholarship is for young adults, who will be 18-25 on July 8, 2025, and are living with type 1 diabetes.
 Included in the Young Adult Scholarships are:

• The Stewart Perry Family Scholarship for Young Adults
• The Kim Hislop Memorial Scholarship for Young Adults
• CWD Young Adult Scholarships

The 2025 Young Adult Scholarships include:

• One hotel room at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for five (5) nights (arrive Tuesday, depart Sunday),
• Conference registration for the young adult recipient, and
• Travel expenses for the recipient in accordance with CWD's travel guidelines. Costs for additional people and other expenses are the responsibility of the recipient.

Friends for Life Arlington
March 7-9, 2025

  Use this application to apply for a Scholarship for Friends for Life in Arlington 2025. For this application, at least one attendee in your party should have type 1 diabetes, and you should live within driving distance of the venue.

  This Friends for Life Arlington 2025 Scholarship can include:

• One hotel room at the Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park (accommodating up to four people in the room) for two (2) nights (arrive Friday, depart Sunday), and
• Conference registration for up to four (4) people. 

Transportation expenses, including any parking expenses, are not included. Costs for additional people and other expenses are the responsibility of the recipient.

Recipients are responsible for all meals on Friday and Saturday dinner.

Recipients must be willing and able to provide a personal payment method at check-in for any incidental charges. The hotel may put a hold on this card that will drop off after check-out. Please prepare accordingly.

Financial Need
Financial need is a component of prioritizing this support, so you are permitted to submit financial information demonstrating the need. Our scholarship program is designed for individuals and families who would otherwise be unable to attend FFL without our support. Please note that if you have already paid and registered for the conference, you will automatically be declined a scholarship.
